Our Board

Te aka ora trust board

Our trust is administered by the Te Aka Ora Trust Board. The Trustees are community volunteers who are committed to the kaupapa and aspirations of Te Aka Ora.
The board of trustees are accountable to Te Hui Amorangi o Te Tairawhiti and the wider community of Te Tairawhiti.
The Board consists of up to 8 Board members and one Ex-Officio Board Member. The Ex-Officio Board Member is Te Pihopa o Te Tairawhiti.

Archbishiop don tamihere

Archbishop Don has been a member of the Te Aka Ora Trust Board since 2005.
Archbishop Don is the current Chairperson of the Board and was elected as Chairperson in 2016

maui tangohau

Maui Tangohau has been a member of the Te Aka Ora Trust Board for a number of years.
Maui is our current Deputy Chairperson on the board.

Lady Rose has been a member of our board since 2015.

Erin has been a Te Aka Ora Trustee since 2015. Erin brings to the board a wealth of knowledge in Early Childhood Education and Care Governance, along with Management. Erin's vision for Rangatahi is enabling our Rangatahi with confidence to stand on their own two feet, to make their own decisions and be an active contributor to our community.
Erin's motivation towards supporting community development within Tairawhiti is if we do not get involved with community development opportunities, then who?
