Te Aka Ora House

Te Aka Ora means "healthy vine". Our aim is to provide a safe and nurturing place where you can learn how to look after yourself and baby in the best possible way. We want you to develop a strong loving bond with your baby and learn heaps about how to make a family, so that you will have a solid foundation upon which to build the rest of your life as a parent.

Our names are Joanne and Greg Forde.
We are the House Parents here at Te Aka Ora House.

Te Aka Ora House is a safe, nurturing and friendly place to stay where you will be given support and information to assist you to become the best parent you can possibly be.

As House Parents our main role in the home is to keep things running smoothly and to assist you learn as much as possible about looking after yourself and baby.

A team of people are involved with the home and its programme and we each have responsibilities.

We will work together with Venice - The Te Aka Ora Social Worker - in helping set goals and plan how you will achieve these goals.
